I am a complete newbie to Linux. I’d like to install a Linus system on my old PC laptop, then find out how to get libreboot installed. I am ssuming that most people coming to these meetings are well past this level…but I would like to attend the next meeting and see how much I can follow.

Welcome, glad to have you aboard.
The meeting is on Jan 3, 2018 Wed 6:00 PM at the Central Library room 1.
Just got the booking approval Tuesday morning.

Sounds strange but there seems a grass roots awakening in the club these days.
A smaller and less formal group but they are very determined to learn more and do more.
I think you will fit right in. By your comments you are already looking at an advanced concept such as Libreboot. Libreboot looks like an interesting project and for the purest at heart. It depends on what you want and why.

Please email a short note at president [ AT ] so I can include you.
By being interested and having made contact that makes you automatically a first level member of the club. That’s free, so is attending the meetings.
I will put notice of Meeting on the Web Site soon. Just been too busy lately so I am behind.

    Web site:

    Looking forward to meeting you.
    See you there.
