This is more of a coding area, but with enough grey area to be
applicable here I think.
Does anyone know of a FOSS tool that can connect to an existing
database, and generate database diagram (ERD)? I'm targeting MySQL for
now, but finding something generic would be nice.
I know that ERWin on the proprietary side (and after some large cash
outlay) can do this, and I think Rational Rose can as well. But is
there something on the FOSS side of the fence?
I want to get involved in some projects, but need to understand their
database models, which are at various degrees of documentation (but none
seem to have a diagram available).
Thanks for the input.
