[clug-talk] computer to TV

There's not much difference in who takes it. I like Currie Barracks because you can drive up, pop the trunk, and stay in the car while they unload. Less hassle than lugging it in to a recycle depot. Greg

To get VGA output onto a TV you need a display card that supports RCA output. My laptop does this but it has a built in S-Video out interface and it works fine (at least with Windows). I also have a video card in one of my old PCs that has RCA composite out which works fine with the Windows drivers (never bothered to find the Linux ones). You really lose a lot when you take VGA (which is hi-def) and put it on a low def device like an old NTSC TV. It is suitable for movies but hard on the eyes for any office type work. I think you will need something like a converter box like
