[clug-talk] Laser printer

I haven't looked at printers for a while, but...

Typically Samsung and Brother work well with Linux these days. HP too,
but usually with their higher end models. HP's lower end models are hit
and miss. (based on my past experience...)

If you are willing to do a little research, take a look at what the
local shops are offering, and then see what they say about those models
at http://www.openprinting.org/printers/. Keeping in mind that some of
the "100% working" models may require some additional effort on your
part (compiling drivers, downloading foomatic updates, etc.)

Generally though, most black/white lasers will work just fine. Color
lasers too, but the color profiles may not be quite right.

Let us know what you end up going with, and how it works for you...
This is something I kinda miss about CLUG - hardware recommendations...
