Not sure if this will help, but I know recent versions of Samsung
multifunctions  support Linux out of the box...state it right on the
side actually.

I know HP support for Linux has been getting a lot better for
printers...not sure about scanners though, but worth a check.

Most stuff you are going to find out there will be canon, epson or hp,
so I would start by checking their sites or some of the other sites
suggested.
