[clug-talk] Mail, Shaw, and RBL

Hi all.
My IP addresses got tagged by the SPEWS RBL, through no fault of my own.
(they blindly blocked the entire class C subnet, when it's a range that's not
managed by that mask - my mask is 255.255.252.0). Someone at the .100
address caused this... btw, I'm on a Shaw SOHO connection...
Anyways, I've been dealing with this issue for a few months and having a few
contacts bounce my messages. I finally found a fix for it. The short answer
was to use Shaw's mail server to relay my outgoing messages. I didn't want
to have to do this via my email clients, as I'd rather have send and receive
be the same server. So instead, I did this through the Kolab interface.
You can read more about it here:

(I was due to make another post, and this topic is as good as any other.. :) )
