It might be device specific. Try to see if there is some consistency
with the attached peripherals. I have tried various USB devices,
enabling and disabling the wireless adapter. So far I have not had any
problems. Let me know what you find.
Eventually it might be worth building your own kernel, which sounds
harder than it is, especially on a Debian based system.
