Yeah man that stuff is awesome. It works on 90% of the distros I've tried.
It's even built into mine (Kanotix) atm.
And yup you understand correctly. It's a cmg file (disc image). You just put
it somewhere (/opt?) and then just click it.
They're pretty neet. They say its not supposed to replace a package manager
like KPackage or Synaptic - but I can see it happening.
In the future, if people are gonna switch to Linux as a desktop, its gotta
be drop dead simple.
