Cool. I got a WRT54GL (ver4) and WRT54G (ver5) from Memory express this
lunchtime. I'll flash the ver4 one straigh way and see how 'we' can get
on with the smaller footprint of the ver4.

Even with the two antennas, only one is active at any time. One is
always used for TX. RX uses one, and when it sees a poor quality signal
it tries the other to see if it is better.
The reason being is that sometimes multipath/reflections mean that by
effectly moving the position of the antenna (by switching to the other
one) you can get a better signal.
