[clug-talk] KDE Pauses When Switching Desktops

My new Inspiron is behaving almost flawlessly. Suspend is working, I've got
the proper ATI drivers installed, even the front media keys are working. One
of the last little things that's driving me nuts is that KDE pauses when I

that I just switched to are unresponsive and they do not have any borders or
menu bars on them. After the 5 seconds, the borders and menu bars reappear
and then the windows all become responsive.

example, it continues to play and I can move the mouse pointer around during

search that this was a problem back in KDE 3.2 (I've got 3.5.2 on Kubuntu

Anyone have any bright ideas? One of the coolest things about Linux is the
multiple desktops. I hate not being able to use them correctly.
