This is the mess that it wireless under linux.  Cards that used to be
supported by various Open source drivers had their chipsets replaced
with non OSS friendly hardware... unfortunately most hardware vendors
did not change the model numbers of their cards.  What this means is
that there is no really accurate way to determine if your hardware will
work other than to try it.
