University parking is a bit of a pain, but not as bad as downtown.
If you are intending to arrive, then leave once, it will cost you $3.50. You
can expect to pay that each time you park, if you are looking for in/out
privleges.
The closes parking lot that will be manned, is L11. You get there by taking
32nd Ave (wetbound) off of Crowchild, and turning left at the second set of
lights (Collegiate Blvd). Then take the first left and pay at the booth.
It's only a 3-5 minute walk from there to the ICT building.
I do not recommend parking at the metered lots - the University patrols for
parking violations almost religiously.
Other than that, there are a number of parking lots around the University that
have parking permit dispensers (insert coings, get permit). Lot L20 is very
close to the ICT building, but will fill up fast.
You can see a map of the campus at http://www.ucalgary.ca/map/map_big.html.
Or http://grover.open2space.com/files/promo/university2.png - this one has
been marked up showing the recommended parking areas. If you park in the big
parkade just off of 24th Ave, you'll pay $5 for each entry.
HTH.
