i also saw a report that i can't say much more about (which is really, really,
really frustrating) that puts desktop linux at 6% in corporate america and
10% in germany... those numbers are quite a bit larger than any numbers i've
seen so far, but the study was a random cold-call research study. sadly, the
(pro-linux) company that got the study done hasn't decided whether or not to
release it. arg. so while i've -seen- the numbers and the study looks both
defensible and accurate they are completely useless to me =/
btw, measuring via web usage is pretty much useless for a large number of
reasons, including the international spread, the number of kde systems that
aren't on the 'net or used for typical 'net things, the number of people who
UA spoof, etc, etc, etc...
