Thank you Marcel and everyone else for the very kind words. I posted my
message to get people thinking about how they might increase their personal
level of involvement in the group as we will now be needing some people to
fill key roles. I have been very proud to serve the group as much as I was
happy to serve myself. It wasn't wholly an altruistic endeavor on my part. My
peers and I saw a group that had so much potential and it appeared to be in
need of some new direction.
I like what CLUG has become and there are some things that I think need to be
changed. I mentioned in a previous email that I look forward to the time
where I can sit among the attendees at a meeting as a member and nothing
more. The point is that I made a conscious effort to become involved to make
some changes that I thought were necessary to this group's survival. I
achieved most of those changes and was delighted to be a part of a group of
people planning for the future with a similar vision.
Like I said, I think it's time for someone else's vision.
