Right from the Gentoo mailing list

- gcc 3.3 is deprecated as of 2004.3. gcc 3.4 is default
- kernel 2.6.9-r1, single kernel on the liveCD
- fixed ide-disk issues (bug #58512)
- full support for nforce3 250 chipsets
- based on cascading profiles
