FYI the next CUUG meeting will feature a number of speakers
promoting/defending their favourite Unix OS. I'm not sure of the complete
list but I think Linux is there as well as AIX, HPUX, Solaris, and a BSD
variant or two. Here's the details:
----------------------------------------------------------------
Oh, for a muse of fire, that would ascend the brightest heaven of
invention!*
In its absence we bring you the Great CUUG OS War of 2004 which we expect to
last less than 100 minutes. The contestants are lining up, the armour of
righteousness is being burnished to the max, and all sorts of unwarranted
prejudices are due to be unleashed in a mighty blast of rhetoric. Battle
will
be joined at the CUUG general meeting on
Tuesday, December 14th, 2004
5:30 p.m. (snacks)
6:00 p.m. (meeting)

Come forth, show your support, and support the show, which will need all the
help it can get.
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood, disguise fair nature with
hard-favour'd
rage... And gentlemen in England now abed shall think themselves accursed
they
were not here* - but it *is* a long way for them to come, after all.
But not for *you*.
* Henry V, in case you were wondering.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Unfortunately I'll be out of town for this event which promises to be at
least entertaining and possibly educational.
Regards,
Greg King
