| July 7th Meeting Notes |
| |
This month's meeting started off with a tailgate barbecue, with Kin bringing a grill and everybody chipping in with food and conversation. We liked it so much, we'll try doing it again on the next meeting August 4th :-)
The first presentation was by Eric Beaudoin on the m4 macro processor. With m4, you can easily change around parts of your source code, regardless of language. For more information on m4, check out its manual.

May 5, 2010 CLUG Meeting Notes
We talked about the mail server going down. The problem was that the Mailman service had stopped. We've got a cron job that now checks it periodically, and we're going to keep a closer eye on it. Should you ever have problems sending mail to the list, send an email to the CLUG President and let them know.
There was a quick look at Cowsay, and how you can alias it to different commands for comical effect.

Some Useful Linux Tools
by Gustin Johnson & Kin Wong
July 2, 2008
Devry - Room ?
Doors open at 18:45, Meeting 19:00 - 21:45
We didn't have a big topic but had a number of things that we have come across that might be of interest to the group.
Every needed to backup your system whether it is a handful of files or a partition. We have a bunch of tools that will solve this problem. Some are at the system level, others are applications and still others come as a live iso. Both Gustin and Kin have their favourites.
