These are the meeting notes from the January 14th 2009 CLUG Exec meeting. Gustin Johnson, Kin Wong and John Jardine were present on the call.

Meeting opened at 17:30

Reviewed last Member Meeting. General discussion on new attendees.

• John placed 3 items from the November meeting into Actions.

Actions from previous meetings:

• Removed "Kin will decide how he wants to be compensated for the Linksys router he made available to CLUG." because Kin has claimed the expense of the router.
• John still has to move DNS registration of clug.ca to "President"
• $120 cheque to John Jardine for Web Hosting (Canada Web Host)
• $250 cheque to COSSFEST 2007
• $75 cheque to COSSFEST 2009

New Actions:

• Confirmed "Network Security Auditing" as topic for Feb 4th
  • Kin will bring an additional WAP
  • Gustin will bring his Alix as a WAP & to demo MITM attacks
  • We need to put up a 'no expectation of privacy' notice at the Feb 4th meeting
• Kin will ask for volunteers to perform year-end audit prior to Feb 4th meeting
  • We agreed that we would encourage volunteering by offering free pizza to the selected volunteers
• Discussion about where to move CLUG Member meetings
  • Agreed to ask members at the Feb 4th meeting where they would like it.
  • Kin suggested that John check SuperStore? in Deerfoot Meadows.
  • General discussion of pro/cons of different venues.
