A topic such as TCP/IP is not intrinsically the most interesting. Charles
M Kozierok has managed to write a 1500+ page book that not only covers
every detail of TCP/IP but he does so in way that is neither tedious nor
frivolous.
The author manages to serve a wide audience without compromise. It does not
matter if you are a beginner or a seasoned network engineer, this book will be
useful. The writing style is both friendly and accurate. The book is
extremely well organized which allows you to quickly get the information you
are looking for.
Despite the length of the book, it is fun to read. After every
reading session, I found myself looking forward to the next chapter.
The personality and passion of the author shines through without getting in the
way. This is really the gold standard of how a technical book should be written.
In short, if you manage or interact with networks at any level, you need this
book. If you have any interest at all in how the Internet works then you would
be very well served in purchasing this book. For me, in addition to the copy
that I received for review, I bought a second copy for the office so that I
would never be without this handy reference.
