About clug-talk	English (USA)
CLUG-Talk is a medium traffic mailing list where members can share their thoughts about Linux based operating systems as well as Free and Open Source Software and other related issues. This list also serves as a focal point for communicating general information to list members. Members are encouraged to seek out and offer solutions to any related problems. This list has a low "signal to noise ratio" in that we tend to stay "on topic" as much as possible. Generally speaking "On Topic" includes content and discussions related directly to the Linux operating system, issues arising out of the use of Linux and other "Free & Open Source Software. Members may also post comments of specific interest to list members such as job postings, hardware for sale/giveaway (non-commercial) etc. Off-Topic posts, while not encouraged, should be prefaced with OT to assist list members that choose to filter unwanted messages. Using clug-talk
To post a message to all the list members, send email to clug-talk@clug.ca. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to clug-talk
Subscribe to clug-talk by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
